Sidney Hightower Walker

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011, from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Gaither officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in Clayton Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or the family asks that memorials be made to your favorite charity.

Mr. Walker was born December 6, 1926 in Union Springs, Alabama, son of the late John Homer and Ludie Hightower Walker. Sidney graduated from Auburn University and Jones Law School and was a CPA and owner of Sidney H. Walker and Co. Mr. Walker served as a Merchant Marine during WWII and in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ozark, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Nell Paulk Walker; and a son, Sidney H. Walker.

Survivors include two daughters: Ludie Walker and Eloree Paul (Brad) of Dothan; two sons: S. Homer Walker (Allison) of Trussville and Clarence C. Walker of Troy; two granddaughters: Kaylee Beth Walker and Lizzy Jo Paul; and one grandson, Riley Walker.
