

Alexander Andrew Homer was born on May 4, 1949 in Albany, Georgia to the late Ida Jewel Homer and Tommie Lee Homer, Sr. He was the third oldest of thirteen children; two preceded him in death. The family moved to Florida where he resided until his sunset on October 26, 2020.
He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during his lifetime and was a member of First Baptist Church Piney Grove, Incorporated for some years.
Alexander met and married the love of his life Janice Lampley. To this union two children were born, Schronie and Shane. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His loving grandchildren held a special place in his heart.
He worked as a carpenter with the Carpenter’s Union and various construction companies throughout his years of employment.
Although Alexander may be gone from our visible presence, he will never leave our hearts. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 21 years Janice Lampley-Homer; children: Schronie Allen (Christopher), Janice Butler, and Shane Homer (Lisa); Siblings: Carolyn Homer, Tommie Lee Homer, Jr. (deceased), Linda Homer, James Homer, Arnetta Homer, Vallesteen Wilder, Anthony Homer (deceased), Diane Homer, Barbara Homer, Sandra Sneed (Michael), Rachel Dixon (Henry), and Michael Homer (Valerie); sisters-in-law: Mabel Lampley, Patricia Lampley, and Barbara Zeigler (Charles); brothers-in-law: John Lowe (Dorothy) and Jack Lampley, Jr. (JoAnn); Aunts: Tiny Wright, Mary Sease-Ford, and Doris McLeod; grandchildren: Chavanteau Miles (Edward), Shavonna Homer, Shana Homer, Charity Allen, Leondria Homer, Ryan Howard, Henry Lambert, Donnice Woods, Jr., and Nick Lambert and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service for Alexander will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
