Angelina Scoglio

Angie was born on September 21, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to immigrant parents from Sicily, Pacifico and Fannie (Azzarello) Cricchio. She graduated from Eastern District High School in Brooklyn. She went on to work for the US Government in clerical positions in NY. In 1952, she met and married Remus Scoglio in Washington, DC, where she continued her career with the government until the birth of her children. She was a loving stay-at-home mother and continually put her family before herself.

After moving to Rockledge, FL 58 years ago, she was involved in many volunteer school and church activities. She trained with the Red Cross and worked in the school clinic. A move to Fort Lauderdale, FL led to her career as a high school receptionist/secretary which lasted 34 years.

Angie lived a true Christian life and was beloved by all. She had a smile for everyone, including anyone she would come in contact with throughout her day-to-day activities. She was a talented portrait artist, avid reader of non-fiction and biographies and a fan of anything dark chocolate. She enjoyed dinners at her favorite restaurant Red Lobster, trips to shopping malls and Christmas stores, outings with her 2 best friends and train trips to visit family in NC, especially during the holidays, of which Christmas was her all-time favorite.

Angie was predeceased by her husband, parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by 3 children: Donna (Jim) Norton, Joe (Carol) Scoglio and John (Pam) Scoglio; 2 grandchildren Erin (James) Wolf and Mike Scoglio and 2 great-grandchildren Paige and Kaylin Wolf; many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pelican Landing, Sebastian for their kind and unrelenting compassionate care.

A private graveside service will be held at Sebastian Municipal Cemetery.
