He was born in Bath, New York on February 18, 1927 and resided in
Bohemia, NY for 31 years. Carl retired from his career in road construction
and moved to Florida from Bohemia, NY 20 years ago. Carl was preceded
in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Hughes. He was a member of the
masons, and an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church Sebastian, FL.
Carl is survived by his second wife Lillian Hughes; daughters, Deborah
Pullium and Carla Hubbard; step-daughters, Barbara Mazzochi and Patricia
Robertson; sons, Ronald and James Hughes; eleven grandchildren and
six great grandchildren. Those desiring to make a memorial contribution
in Carl’s name may do so to the American Cancer Society. The family will
meet friends in the Chapel at Fountainhead Funeral Home from 1:00PM
until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2011.
