Dorothy Seaton

1934 - 2014

Our beloved mother, best friend and confidant, Dorothy cast off the stresses and strains of her mortal coil on January 24, 2014. Dorothy was born in Jamaica, emigrated to England in the early 1960s and her sense of adventure led her to the United States in 1980 where she promptly secured a position as a nurses aide and clerk in the new born baby unit at Brooklyn Hospital, New York before retiring to Palm Bay, Florida. Her spirit lives on in her surviving seven children, twenty grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Dorothy lived a spirited, meaningful and fulfilling life rich in love and service to others.

A Wake will be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home, Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay on February 14, 2014 at 5pm, and the funeral service will take place at Blessed Redeemer Church, Degroodt Road, Palm Bay on February 15, 2014 starting at 10 am, and afterwards at Fountainhead Memorial Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Fountainhead Funeral Home or a charitable donation may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Dorothy Seaton's name.
