Edward "HUCK" Paul Hammond

September 4, 1955 – December 29, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share that Edward Paul Hammond — our beloved Huck — passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 70.

Huck was the heart of our family. He shared 53 years of marriage with Pamela Schrader Hammond. He was a devoted father to Jason Hammond 53, Kristie Hudson 50, Rebecca Lammers 49, Joshua Hammond 42 (Felicia). A deeply proud Papa to 13 grandchildren, 2 cherished grandchildren who went before him, and 19 great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.

Born in Oswego, New York, on September 4, 1955, Huck was the son of John and Rose Hammond, who welcomed him into this world and later preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. He is survived by one brother James Hammond and one sister Henrietta Coe.

Huck found his greatest happiness fishing with his two sons, working with his hands, and fixing anything that needed attention. There was nothing he wouldn’t try to fix and no one he wouldn’t show up for. He gave his love quietly, through actions more than words, and never expected anything in return.

Above all else, Huck was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and the most amazing Papa anyone could ask for. His presence made everyone feel safe, supported, and deeply loved. Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the life we shared with him.

Huck passed away in Palm Bay, Florida, but his love, lessons, and legacy will live on through every life he touched.
