Florence W. Webster, 85, of Palm Bay died Sunday (7/21) at a local assisted living facility. The only child of Kossuth Winfield and Florence A. (nee Hahn) Macorkel, she was born in Wilkes-Barre, Penn. She grew up in Wilkes-Barre, attending and graduating from G.A.R. High School. Following her graduation she attended Mansfield State Teachers College (now Mansfield University) in Mansfield, Penn and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She taught at Campbell Central School in Campbell, NY for 34 years, her first three years teaching third grade and the remainder teaching kindergarten. She and her husband came to Palm Bay in 2011 from Campbell. She had been a member of the North Baptist Church in Corning.
She is survived by her husband: Dewey Frederick Webster, who she married on Aug 12, 1950 in Wilkes-Barre, Penn; one son: Barry Lynn (Pawinee) Webster of Palm Bay.
Funeral services and interment will be in New York.
