

Rev. Geoffrey W. Donnan, age 73, residing in Fellsmere, Florida, passed on to glory on Sunday, September 3, 2017, peaceably at his home after an eighteen-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, November 5, 1943, the son of Dwight Andrew Donnan and Gloria Wessel Donnan. He grew up in middle class Webster Groves, Missouri, with two sisters, Jareth and Jeanne. He attended Avery Elementary School and Webster Groves High School. Some of his many activities included Boy Scouts, High School Swim Team, and Acapella Choir.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1961-62 serving in the Missouri Army National Guard stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Ft. Ord, California. In 1968, he married Nancy Marie Nuottila, from Calumet, Michigan, and they were very blessed with a happy marriage for 49 years. They have two children, Kimarie Anne (Donnan) Card and Jason Wade Donnan.
Rev. Donnan received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Kansas in 1966, received a Master of Religion from Whitefield Theological Seminary and later a Master of Divinity from Reformation International Theological Seminary. He was the President and Executive Director of Reformation Christian Ministries and served on its Board of Directors. You can read more of his ministry at www.refcm.org.
During his years of ministry, he founded Christian Liberty Academy, in Paramaribo, Suriname, South America in 1979, a Christian day school complete from K-4 through High School which continues to this day. He also established Open Door Bible Church, now known as First Presbyterian Church of Paramaribo, Suriname. He established Caribbean Christian Ministries around 1980, which later became known as Reformation Christian Ministries Church, Inc. in 1996. Under this organization he began the Good News Bible Study ministries, Reformation International College and Reformation International Theological Seminary. He wrote the Good News Bible Study courses and wrote A Declaration of Universal Rights, which he spread throughout the Caribbean among pastors and churches. He presented this to President Ronald Reagan at the White House.
His hobbies included photography, genealogy, and he loved to visit national parks where he could hike and climb mountains. He also enjoyed working in his yard and planted several tropical trees on his property. He stated his proudest moments were his blessed marriage, his two children and the very full of life of ministry that God granted him.
Surviving are his wife Nancy Marie Donnan, his son Jason Wade Donnan and grandson Anthony Wade; his daughter Kimarie Anne Card, her husband David Lee Card, and grandchildren Tabitha, Jonathan, Deborah, Samuel, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Esther, Miriam, and Sarah. Preceding him in death was his father, Dwight A. Donnan. Surviving are his mother, Gloria Wessel Donnan; his sister Jareth Keairnes; his sister Jeanne Donnan. Also surviving are his Uncle Richard Wessel and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
