Geraldine D. Miller

Geraldine “Devina” Miller aged 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 24, 2022, at Palm Bay Community Hospital, located in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born on November 4, 1943, in Sangre Grande, Trinidad and Tobago to Victoria and George Samuel. Geraldine and her twin brother David Samuel were the fifth children out of ten siblings Earmine Lecock, Masline Samuel, Agnes Samuel, Zita Thomas, Winnie Portillo, Isaac Samuel, Lenora “Rebecca” Williams and Patricia Samuel.

Geraldine was married to the late Carlton C. Miller on July 19, 1969, who was her partner in life for almost 60 years at the time of his passing in September 2017. To that union, three children were born Curtis M. Miller, Roger Miller and Stacy “Chalene” Miller-Brathwaite. After the birth of their first child, they migrated to Brooklyn, New York to start a new life and later had Roger and Stacy.

After Geraldine migrated to the United States in 1968, she worked hard to provide a stable home and life for her family. Geraldine retired in 1998 relocated to Palm Bay, Florida. Geraldine spent the remainder of her retirement years working part time, traveling, spending time with her family and dedicating her life to serving God. Geraldine better known as Devina to her family joined Church of our Savior upon relocating to Florida in 1998.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her three children Curtis (Martha), Roger (Bernadette) and Stacy (Dave) and three grandchildren Innocencia Miller, Arianna Miller and Daniel Brathwaite, cousins, nieces and nephews and other extended family members, in laws and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Carlton Miller and siblings Earmine Lecock, Masline Samuel, Zita Thomas and Isaac Samuel.

A visitation for Geraldine will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Church of Our Saviour, 1000 Jersey Ln NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905.
