Jeanette Mary Pfaff

our Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Jeanette was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Pfaff and her siblings, Barbara Merrill Craig and Gilbert Merrill.

Jeanette was a dedicated educator for over 28 years. Upon completing her BS degree in Business Education at Buffalo State College, she continued to advance her studies at Cortland College and completed her master’s degree in Business Education. She taught the majority of her career as a dedicated third and fourth grade teacher in the Owego Apalachin School District in Owego, New York.

Jeanette was an avid gardener and loved her plants. She enjoyed reading and passionately tending to her yard.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Karen (Stephen) Costello of East Brunswick, New Jersey; son, Edison (Joann) Pfaff of West Melbourne, Florida; and granddaughters; Shannon Costello and her fiancé, Thomas Dobkowski and Meagan Costello (Peter) Sutton; and grandsons, Taylor and Nicholas Pfaff; and long-time family friend and fellow educator, Diane Buyce of Melbourne, Florida.

Burial will be private at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endicott, New York.
