He was born in Brooklyn New York, but spent most of his life in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of Ralph H. Hett and Marguerite F. Hett. He attended Towson University, and was employed at the Maryland State Highway Administration for 28 years before retiring in 2004.
He loved music, especially playing guitar, and played in several bands over the years. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of his family and friends.
Jack is survived by his wife, Nancy Hett; daughters, Danielle Bonczewski (Bruce Greensfelder) and Kristin Tilton (Ricky Tilton); and grandchildren: James Bonczewski, Keira Bonczewski, Sophia Greensfelder, and Miles Tilton. Jack is also survived by his sister, Margie Juchs.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on March 3rd, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Epworth United Methodist Church, 600 Warren Road, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030. There will be a reception after the celebration at the church.
