Joseph Michael Spinelli, 85, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015. He was born on January 26, 1930, the son of Annie LaBarbara and Antonio Spinelli, and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force 4th Air Rescue Squadron and worked as a Procurement Specialist for Grumman for over 30 years in Bethpage, New York.
He met Josephine Seminara and they married on April 23, 1955. Together, they have been long-time residents of Bay Shore, New York and Palm Bay, Florida. Joe was an avid collector of antiques and enjoyed his collecting, Swap Meets, and The Sharing Center. As a devout catholic, he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes in New York and Our Lady of Grace in Palm Bay.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Josephine; three daughters, Joann Spinelli (Joseph Furnell), Elena Swanton (Brian), and Maria Buscarino (Michael); five grandchildren, Toniann, Rebecca, Daniel, Katherine, and Beth Ann; and Daniel’s father, Mark Mercado and his wife Annie, as well as Rebekah and Jeremy Mercado.
