Juanita was born in Argyle, Texas on January 15, 1929 to Dora Edwards and Burnett Stephenson. She attended North Texas State University before relocating to Melbourne in 1964 where she attended BCC and FIT. Her career as a Contract Specialist/Procurement Analyst was with NASA from 1964 until she retired in 1990. She was admired by her coworkers for her intelligence and work ethic.
She was the beloved mother of daughter and sons-in-law: Cynthia (Cox) Zaruba and Chuck Zaruba, Elizabeth and Walt Melvin; sons and daughters in law: Perry and Debbie Cox, Tommy and Patty Cox; sister of Rachel Stephenson, Arly Rea Edwards and brother Claude Edwards; grandmother of Monica and Cristopher Cox, Travis Melvin, Trina, Sarah, and Rachel Cox; great-grand mother of Willow, Izzy, Hannah, John, Tyla, Winter, Bryce, Clara, and Alex; and special aunt to Roger Domingue and Kristi Wilmar.
She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.
