Born in Albany, Georgia, he was the son of Theron and Vaunceil Head. He had been employed at Harris Semiconductor and worked as a computer programmer there for almost 30 years.
He greatly enjoyed playing golf. He was a well-known golfer at Habitat Golf Course in Malabar, Florida and Spessard Holland Golf Course in Melbourne, Florida. He will be remembered for his easygoing and laidback personality. He was a generous man who was very loving and supportive of all.
He is survived by his six siblings: Clay Head, Keith Head, Dwain Head, Linda Schils, John Head, and Lynwood Head; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his two brothers: Louie Head and Gilbert Head.
His cremains will be scattered sometime in the spring at a small family gathering.
