

Born in San Sebastian, P.R., he was the son of Miguel and Juana Cardona. He graduated from Dutchess College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He was employed and retired from N.Y.S. Dept. of Corrections (30+ years) and was previously employed as an NYPD officer before that.
He was Baptized and a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. A classic car enthusiast he enjoyed working on older automobiles and playing dominoes with friends and family. He will be remembered for his tough love, financial prowess, and admiration of his family’s accomplishments.
He is survived by his spouse, along with the mother of his children, Elsa Wichmann. His sister Mildred Nieves, His sons Angel and Miguel Cardona, daughters Migna T. Ramos and Joanne Cardona. Son in-law Rickie Ramos. Grandchildren, Andrea. Angel, Glenn, Eric, Brandon, Victor, Christopher, Sasha, David, Vanessa, Nicholas, Nichole, Amanda, Stephanie, Genesis, and Nayelis. Twenty great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and Nephew Mike Cardona. He was predeceased by his brother Michael, sisters Adrianna, and Aurea Cardona.
Funeral Services and interment will be held at the Fountainhead Funeral Home & Memorial Park located at 7359 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909
On Thursday, February 22 there will be a visitation from 6-9 p.m.
On Friday, February 23 there will be a viewing from 9-10am followed by graveside service at 10 a.m.
