Margarete R. Czernik, 83, of Palm Bay, FL passed away Thursday September 12, 2013 surrounded by loved ones. A native of Germany, Margarete moved several times as a military wife, but settled in Florida in 1967 from Maryland. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, loved German cuisine, cooking, and meeting with friends for their monthly Luncheon.
Margarete is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Stanley John Czernik.
She is survived by 2 sons: Michael (Kimberly) Czernik of Palm Bay and David Czernik of Arkansas; daughter, Anne(Ronald) Scheltmeyer of Oklahoma; 1 sister, Elisabeth Handke; 5 grandchildren: Tommy, Angel, Liz, Katie, and Lisa(Anthony) Spangler; 8 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, Leena.
A memorial service will be held Saturday September 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Riverside Baptist Church:
