

Marlene was married to Edward Z. Midgett, Jr. in 1956, and together they had two children Michael Edward Midgett and Karen M. Williams. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Kyle Williams and Kaylee Williams.
Marlene attended Vero High School and graduated in 1952 before earning her degree from Stetson University in 1956. She worked as an Elementary School Teacher for many years before retiring in 1995.
Marlene was known for her generosity and donated to many national organizations. She was also awarded the State Spelling Bee Champion title during her educational years.
Throughout her life, Marlene enjoyed playing the piano, singing in her church choir, vacationing on Sanibel Island, collecting sea shells watching cowboy and classical movies, and spending time with her family.
Marlene will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and love for life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for Marlene will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. A private committal will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.
