

Michael is survived by his mother, Harriet “Cookie” Devers, older brother, Madison Larry Legette, Jr. and niece & nephews, Lauren, Tim and Tom, and younger brother Lloyd Lee Kochinka, and niece & nephew, Tatiana and Andrew, and his little Chihuahua Zorro.
Michael was born on October 17, 1962 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to parents Larry and Harriet Legette. He graduated high school in Ft. Lauderdale and moved to the Melbourne, Florida area shortly after. After moving to the Melbourne area, Michael pursued a life focused on the outdoors. From building airboats to owning a local marina, Michael’s work life reflected his love of nature.
Michael loved hunting and fishing. He was a talented artist and also a welder. He was a generous individual who loved helping others in any way that he could, such as helping the school where his mother worked, Larkdale Elementary, lay down new sod around the school. He was passionate about friends and family, often referring to lifelong friends as family. He was an active and dedicated member of the New Faith Community Church and often volunteered, helping with the church’s food bank.
A memorial service is scheduled for close friends and family.
