Patricia Anne Bentley lost her long and courageous battle with cancer on September 2, 2016. She was born on March 13, 1941 in Taunton, Massachusetts, one of six children born to James and Gertrude (Gauthier) Dupont. Work and family moved Patricia from Massachusetts to New Hampshire and later Alabama before she and husband Ronald retired to Barefoot Bay in 2004. Always one to keep busy, Patricia filled her days with countless hours of volunteer work. She volunteered with VITAS Hospice, delivered Meals on Wheels, participated in regular beach cleanups, and was awarded the Rainbow Award for Outstanding Community Service in 2014 by Brevard County. Patricia will be remembered by her loving family and friends as strong-willed and energetic, genuinely caring, and always giving of herself to others. Her memory will be cherished by Ronald, her devoted husband of 33 years; children Bob, Scott, Gary, and Sheree; grandchildren Brittany, Danielle, Julia, Dillon, Logan, and Spencer; and great-granddaughter Charlotte.
