Long time Town of Wayne NY resident peacefully passed February 14, 2021 in Melbourne FL. Ralph was born on May 10, 1938 to Harold and Melva Day.
Ralph grew up on the family farm on the Day Road in Wayne. He attended school in Hammondsport and he worked for the local telephone company for 35 years, retiring in 1992 spending winters in FL. He never lost his love of farm work, animals or anything outdoors, helped on many chicken BBQ's with Wayne Fire Dept, VFW and Legion. Loved deer hunting with his brothers, playing cards with friends, shuffleboard in the winters, golf with buddies in summer.
Survived by his loving wife Roberta who he married July 16, 1960 at the Wayne Baptist Church. Daughter Christine (Jackie) Barber Cocoa FL, Son Michael (Patty) Day Hammondsport NY.
Three surviving brothers Richard Day, Kenneth (Arlene) Day, Howard (Brenda) Day and predeceased by Lawrence Day. Sister-in-law Joan Day. Grandchildren, Timothy (Jessica) Allison, Jacklyn (Glen) Duke, Keshia Gerych, Justin (Diamond) Barber and Stacy Barber. 13 great grandchildren. Seven nieces and one nephew.
