

“With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Raphael Sigismond Morgan Sr., who departed this life on July 8, 2024, in Palm Bay, Florida, at the age of 88. Born on October 26, 1935, in Clarendon, Jamaica, Raphael lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to his family, faith, and community.
Raphael migrated to Brooklyn, New York, in the 1970s, where he began working at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. His willingness to take risks, combined with his entrepreneurial spirit, led him down the path of business ownership—a career he maintained until his retirement.
A devout Christian and a God-fearing man, Raphael's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He found joy in spending time with his family, especially during outings to the casino, which was one of his favorite pastimes. Among his many endeavors, Raphael was particularly proud of owning champion racehorses, a testament to his dedication and passion.
Raphael is survived by his beloved wife of forty-five years, Maria Morgan. Their enduring love and partnership were a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew them. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: Alecia Morgan, Annette Morgan, CJ Morgan, Claire Courtney, Deserine McArthur, Ian Morgan, Junior Morgan, Kadryne Morgan, Maureen Morgan, Nadine Morgan, O’Neil Morgan, Oswald Morgan, Raphael Morgan Jr., Sharon Fraser, and Tyannique Morgan. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren who will forever cherish his memory.
Raphael Sigismond Morgan Sr. was a beacon of love, faith, and dedication. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.“
