Raymond Leo Hilliard, 85, of Grant-Valkaria died Friday (1/16) in Carnegie Gardens Nursing Home. A native of Titusville he has lived in the area all his life. Raymond was in the Maritime Service and also worked for the Florida East Coast Railroad for 15 years. He left the Florida East Coast Railroad and then retired from the Florida Department of Transportation after 27 years where he was a Highway Maintenance Supervisor. Raymond was a member of the Harbor City Masonic Lodge No. 318, F & AM and also the Calvary Baptist Church of Grant. A person who enjoyed the outdoors, Raymond enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in his yard where he grew many varieties of flowers, and barbequing for his family and friends.
Preceded in death by two brothers: Clyde and James; survivors include his wife: Jontha A.; sister: Monteen Sheppard; three sons: Gary, Michael, and Danny; four step-children: Doreen, David, Daniel and Donald Holt; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; numerous great and step great and great-great grandchildren.
