Richard Dean (Dick) Dumford, 81, of Melbourne, FL died Saturday (11/23) in Holmes Regional Hospital. A native of Middletown, Ohio, he came to the Melbourne area in 2003 Kenansville. He had been a builder and landscaper working on new homes before he retired. He was a member of the Church of Christ and most recently had been attending the Melbourne Church of Christ. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the American Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife: Phyllis; daughters: Linda Brandenburg of Middletown, Ohio, Lois Laubach of Middletown, Ohio, Jan Perkins of Middletown, Ohio, Celeste Combs of Melbourne Carla Daniel of Melbourne; sister: Delores Dounhue of TN; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, his parents Emmitt and Bertha and a brother: Ronnie.
There will be a memorial service at the Kissimmee Church of Christ, 921 W. Vine St., Kisimmee on Saturday, Dec 14th at 5:00 PM..
