Richard “Mickey” Woodward, 89, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016. Mickey was born to his parents Ralph P. Woodward and Virginia May Shifflet Woodward on November 12, 1926 in Spencer, Massachusetts.
He moved to Sebastian 18 years ago from Lewisetta, Virginia.
Mickey was a musician since his teen age days. He and his brother Roger, who precedes him in death, were the owners of the Shamrock in Georgetown, DC. There they played and sang, entertaining all who came. Mickey was also a charter boat Captain, better known as Capt. Woody. He piloted the boat on the Chesapeake Bay.
He was an Army Veteran.
Mickey is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Mary Lou Woodward of Sebastian, Florida. He is also survived by stepchildren and many grandchildren.
