Robert William Scott was born in the Bronx, New York, where he grew up in a challenging neighborhood that taught him resilience and resourcefulness. In his youth, Catholic brothers took him under their guidance, inspiring a lifelong devotion to the Catholic Church and to his faith.
Robert attended La Salle High School in New York. Following graduation, he proudly joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably. During his service, he pursued higher education, earning both a Bachelor’s degree and later a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. It was during this time that Robert met Janice Pack, the love of his life. They were
married on September 2, 1966, and shared 58 years of marriage until her passing in 2024. Together, they built a family rooted in love and faith, raising three children: John and his children Alexandra and Delaney, Matthew, and Mary Elizabeth and her daughter Sylvia, who survives him and continues to carry forward his legacy.
Robert’s life was defined by devotion—first to our Lord Jesus Christ, his beloved family, and to all those he encountered along his journey. He lived simply, keeping only what he needed, and gave generously to those less fortunate. His legacy is one of discipleship, always striving to serve others as Jesus did.
Robert’s family asks that his memory be honored by carrying forward his love and compassion in daily life, continuing the example he set through faith, service, and kindness.
