Sarah was born and raised in Worcester, MA, where she graduated from Worcester Vocational High School in 1997. From an early age, she was a devoted member of St. Michael’s on the Heights, where she found joy in singing in the choir and participating in the youth group. Sarah worked for many years as a dedicated home health aide before embracing the role she cherished most: staying home to care for her children. With a heart of gold and a laugh that was truly contagious, Sarah could rarely keep a straight face. Sarah had a deep fondness for trips to her family’s camp on the lake, visits to amusement parks, and time spent at the beach with her loved ones. Sarah also had a passion for baking; each year, she would spend hours preparing holiday cookies to share with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, pool, and darts, and she treasured every moment spent with her four children—whether crafting or playing at the park with her younger two or watching chick flicks with her older two. Sarah cherished every opportunity to savor her time with them.
Sarah was the devoted fiancé of Jason Parker, and loving mother to her four daughters, Cassandra, Amber, Quinn and Lexi. She will be sorely missed by her parents, William and Julie Burgoyne, and her siblings Shawn Burgoyne and his wife, Tina, Julie Desilet and her husband, Mike, and Jennifer Bruinsma, and her husband Chris. Sarah also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Melodie and Josiah, her best friend Cindy Lou, as well as many loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents: George and Dorothy Burgoyne and Derek and Beryl Morton.
Sarah’s infectious joy, her laughter, and her steadfast love for her family will be profoundly missed yet warmly remembered by all who knew her. We invite you to join us in honoring her memory at a memorial service on October 19th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Saint Michael’s on the Heights Episcopal Church, 340 Burncoat Street, Worcester, MA.
