Shannon Marie Mills, age 62, passed away on October 1, 2016. She was born on May 4, 1954 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to John W. Mills Sr. and Genevieve (Minton) Mills. Shannon has lived in Melbourne for 60 years and has been active in many community organizations. She was a member of Spotlight Theater, where she enjoyed dancing. She attended The Arc of Florida and and Bridges of Rockledge. Shannon was a member of the Action Club at Bridges and attended the Special Gathering at First United Methodist Church of Melbourne. She was also involved in the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department, winning multiple gold medals for swimming in the Brevard County Special Olympics.
Shannon is survived by her siblings: Bob Mills (Sarah), Sherry Mills, John Mills, and Dawn Davis (Mike); as well as several nieces and nephews.
