When young, Bud loved to watch Western movies and worked as horse trainer for many years. Later, he enjoyed building things, from houses to furniture to artwork. His log house in Virginia was a showcase of his woodworking and building skills. He lived in the log house for many years before moving to Cypress Creek where he mastered to build another house. In the Cypress Creek community, he spent 24 years of making friends and hosting the holiday’s celebration for the neighbors. Among other of his hobbies were leathercraft and stained glass. He was very proud of his creations.
While not working on a creation, he liked to travel with his wife. Few of his favorite’s places were Italy and Alaska among many other places. He also enjoyed reading and learning about Native American culture, and he incorporated his knowledge about it into his art.
Bud was a proud US Navy Veteran in the Commandant Third Naval District in New York.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Emma Marie Wayt, sister Mary Louise Stucker, brother William Wayt, 12 nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents Theodore Charles Wayt, Sr. and Annie Maude Yates Wayt; his sister Jerry Ann Wayt Hamilton.
Bud will be deeply missed by family and friends.
