Apolonia Klaus, 86, of North Fort Myers and formerly of Branford, CT passed away on June 25, 2020. She was born September 22, 1933 in the former Yugoslavia. Apolonia was a member of Cape Coral German American Social Club and had a passion for her family, baking, sewing and gardening. She was married to the late Frank Klaus for 63 years. Frank passed away suddenly in November 2019.
Apolonia is survived by; son Walter (Kitty) Klaus; daughter Helga (Paul) Liese; and daughter Kathy (Steve) Pecylak; sister Katharina Sporrer, brother Ed (Judy) Dickmann and brother Joseph (Liz) Dickmann; granddaughter Rebecca (Shawn) Smith, granddaughter Katie Klaus, granddaughter Michelle (Mike) Peasley, granddaughter Christina (fiancé Kevin Hayes) Liese, grandson Michael (Jackie) Pecylak, grandson David Pecylak, great grandchildren Christian Peasley, Kennedy Pecylak and Reagan Smith.
Due to COVID-19 the interment at Coral Ridge Cemetery in Cape Coral will be held at later date when it is safe for out of town family and friends to travel.
