

92, of Clearwater, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012.
He was born on June 20, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN. He was a 60 year 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. Don was a veteran and served 5 years with the US Navy during WW II as a ”Tin Can” Sailor and a “Plank Owner” on the USS Lyman K. Swenson, DD729. He transferred to Florida in 1957 to help start a new Honeywell plant in Largo, FL and retired after 47 years as Director of Production.
Don was preceded in death by Mary, his wife of 66 years. He is survived by his 2 sons and their wives, Don & Eleni and Bruce & Patti; 3 grandchildren, Alandra Strain, Zachary and Steven Ziebarth; 2 great-grandchildren, Caden and Avery Strain.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 2550 Highlands Blvd. N., Palm Harbor, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in his memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, Tampa, FL.
