Judith Evelyn Saraiva Lingblom, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Suncoast Brookside Hospice in Palm Harbor, Florida following a massive stroke. She was also diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer.
Judy, our loving, caring, generous, sweet mother is survived by sons Robert G. Lingblom, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; Ronald J. Lingblom of Roanoke, Virginia; Richard M. Lingblom of Atlanta, Georgia, daughter Christine J. Spoto and son-in-law Peter A. Spoto of Palm Harbor, Florida; and grandson Ronald J. Lingblom, Jr. of Montana.
Daughter of Octave and Evelyn Saraiva, Judy was born and grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she enjoyed and excelled in the arts, namely singing and dancing. Being creative and graceful came naturally to her. She moved with her young family to Roanoke, Virginia in 1969 where she continued raising her children as well as performing in local area plays and productions. She also worked for JCPenney in various different retail and administrative positions until she retired after moving to the Tampa Bay area.
She enjoyed music, painting, old movies, gardening, and relaxing by the pool. She had a great fondness for animals of all kinds. Joining her now at Rainbow Bridge are her beloved Charlie & Chipper as well as Einstein, Skitter, and Mingus.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to Suncoast Brookside Hospice House in Palm Harbor, Florida, for their compassionate care and making all the difference during this difficult time.
