Maria Hilscher, 83, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away December 23, 2011 after a battle with cancer. Born in 1928 she moved to the US in 1957 from Germany. She came from a family of 6 sisters and 6 brothers and is survived by her twin brother, Joseph Jaufmann of Rochester, NY; her sister, Paula Taggatz of Germany; her son Eckhard J. Hilscher & family of Atlanta, GA and her niece Tamara Shannon & family of Clearwater, FL. She enjoyed her 35 year residence in FL, as a member of the German Social Club, gardening, knitting and traveling the world. Memorial service will be Saturday January 7th at 1:00PM at Suncoast Hospice House Chapel, 164 West Lake Rd, Palm Harbor, FL 34684.
