April Leilani Love

April Leilani Love was born October 15, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, at Queen of Angels Hospital to Phillip Hayward Love and Myrtle Lee Hicks-Love, (who both preceded her in death). At an early age, April learned about Jesus. She was a devoted believer in God who attended a Baptist church.

In April’s early years of education, she attended Trinity or Wadsworth Elementary in Los Angeles, California. Later, she attended Bunch Junior High, where she won a trophy for participating in the swimming team. She went on to attend Centennial High, and within that timeframe, she met Anthony Jackson Sr.

April, then became with child and attended Harriet Tubman High until the 11th grade. Shortly after, April and Anthony Sr. conceived three children.

April and Anthony Sr. were separated, and she would go on to meet and marry Billy Moore. Preceding the separation of April and Billy, three children were born. Afterward, she reunited with an old friend Samuel Bowden who was in a loving union for 23 years until her passing. This relationship brought upon one child.

During these times of events, April would have worked for companies like McDonald, Kelly Services, Barrons Security, and Fat Burgers. She volunteers at her children's schools. April would even attend Antelope Valley College to obtain her high school diploma.

April is preceded in death by her son Joseph Jackson, sisters Myrtle D Love and Dorothy Love., brother Jerry Love., brother-in-law Samuel Leflore., nephew Dwayne Tayler and many more.

On Monday, April 17, 2023, God knew April was tired, so he sent forth his angels to bring her home to rest. She leaves to cherish her memories a husband, Samuel Bowden., five sons Anthony Jackson, Phillip Jackson, Billy Moore, Jonathan Moore (Kendra), Traveous Bowden., two step-sons Samuel Bowden Jr., Tyrell Bowden., daughter Shalani Moore., two step-daughters Sameka Bowden, Taneeka Bowden., goddaughter Tashi Fitzgerald., two sisters Bertha Leflore, Rosina Love., brother Phillip Love Jr. (Brenda)., three step-sisters., two step-brothers., sister-in-law Gladys Stimpson., fourteen grandchildren., and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
