Beatryce Roberta Sherman

Beatryce Roberta Sherman affectionately known by her family as" Bebe" and " G-Mommy" Was born October 1, 1951 to Jesse and Ernestine (Steward)Dukes both have proceed her in death As a young child, Bebe possessed a creative talent for sewing, fashion, and dancing. Beatryce attended Chicago public schools and graduated from Wendelll Phillips high school in 1969.

Following her relocation to California with her parents and siblings, she joined the workforce which included a long and prosperous career at Lockheed Martin and later enjoyed working at SMC. November 27, 1980 Bebe married her soulmate Richard Sherman and together they raised three wonderful children.

As her family we can write a book about Bebe's many gifts and talents, but we want to remember her unrestricted zest for life, her love and joy in her relationship with her children, and grandchildren.

Beatryce was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister and a friend. With her compassion , outgoing energy, and beautiful smile she was always ready to uplift family and friends even during her most debilitating health challenges. Before her transition she expressed her unwavering faith in the love of God. Richard her husband of almost 39 years believes that Bebe is his angel.

Although Bebe is no longer with us in body, her spirit, her legacy of love for family, her unapologetic love for God, and the joy of living life will always be with us, and embraced by her husband: Richard sherman, children: Christoper Batiste Sr, Richard Sherman JR. and Richelle Sherman. Siblings: Glenda Dukes-Sonkur, Evelyn L. Dukes, Jesse Dukes JR , Linda " Dukes" Brooks , and Amense Dukes . Nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bebe /G-mommy would not want you to mourn for her, but rather celebrate her life through living and loving life to the fullest.
