(12/17/1947 – 08/22/2025), beloved daughter of Angel and Maria Duran, cherished wife of Juan Velarde, and devoted mother to Linda, Alvaro, and Vannessa, passed away on August 22, 2025. She was also a loving grandmother and soon-to-be great-grandmother.
Delia’s life was marked by her tenacity, boundless love for life, and unwavering faith. A woman of strength and resilience, she was a protector of those she loved and a true woman of faith in her own right. Her “badassery” was unrivaled—a testament to her courage and spirit.
A passionate gardener and lifelong learner, Delia had a deep love for nature and natural remedies, a trait she inherited and cherished. She was a steadfast friend, wife, mother, aunt, and sister—roles she embraced with warmth, loyalty, and fierce love.
Delia’s legacy of love, strength, and wisdom will live on through her family and all who had the privilege to know her.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
