

Ricci LaValle Davis, Sr., was born in Los Angeles, California on May 31, 1958, to Hershel Wilson Davis, Sr., and Dorothy Jean Davis. Ricci grew up in Los Angeles, along with his sister Sharon Denise Davis Johns and brother Hershel Wilson Davis, Jr. who both proceeded him in death.
Ricci attended 42nd Street Elementary School and Audabon Jr. High School. He graduated from Manual Arts High School, where he played Football and exceled in Track. Ricci is also an alumnus of Long Beach State University. He loved to skate, dance and bowl.
Ricci excepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Greater New Light Baptist Church with his family. He was a great musician and active member of the Coralears Youth Choir. He sang, played the Piano and the Bass 🎸 Guitar.
Ricci rededicated his life to Christ in 1986 and soon after meet the women who would become his wife, Pat. Ricci and Pat were active members of Zion Temple Community Church in LA, Victorville Church of God and Christ when the moved to Hesperia, CA, and Community Lighthouse Ministry when they moved to Rosamond CA. Ricci played the Bass 🎸 Guitar at each church (it was his favorite instrument of many).
On June 3, 2024, Ricci ascended to the Heavens from the comfort of his home. He will be dearly missed and always loved by those who were blessed to know him. He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife, Patrisha Davis, His children QiAna Mc Knight, Riccisha Davis, Ricci Davis II, and KaiLa Davis. His grandchildren Mary Lizotte, Brazil Neal, Melody Davis, Karter Thomas, Blessean Jackson, Reminisce Cruz, King Davis, and great-grand daughter Khloe Armstrong. His nieces, Eboni Alexander, Herschelle Johns, Amber Grant, and Marsha Ani, their children and many cousins, and loving friends.
Ricci loved to fish and really enjoyed driving to find new places to visit. His theme was “Let the Games Begin” which meant it was about to be an adventure for all!
A memorial service for Ricci will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Joshua Mortuary Palmdale, 3150 East Palmdale Blvd, Palmdale, California 93550.
