Kender Kira Herbert better known as Kay to many passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2023 after a long battle with an illness. Her devotion and firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Kender attended Santa Teresa Preschool 1988 and after that, she went on to attend San Francisco RC School after which she attended Orange Walk Technical High School and Calcutta Seventh Day Adventist College where she received her Associate Degree in Accounting. She worked at several companies in Belize City for some years.
She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with family and friends, cooking her favorite foods (she made the best salbutes, escabeche and black dinner, cow foot soup, tamales and meat pies), listening to music and dancing. Kay loved like no other, and was true to herself. She loved to shop for shoes and purses. She was loud, funny and devoted to the people she held dear, especially her nieces and nephews whom she helped to take care of. She came to Los Angeles in 2009, when her older sister asked for her help with her twin boys.
Kay met the love of her life Daniel in 2009, that love created their daughter Kaylee in 2010. Kaylee was her whole entire world. She lived in Inglewood with Daniel and Kaylee. Our little inside joke for her was about her Vicks. “That girl believes that Vicks could fix everything.
Kender Kira Herbert: Common law wife, mom, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, sister-in-law and good friend to many.
She was born on November 8th, 1984 to Mariana Mary Herbert and Ezekiel Nathaniel Herbert in Orange Walk Town, Belize.
She is predeceased by her mom Mariana Mary Herbert, Grandmother: Margarita Lopez, Aunt: Antonia Robateau, Grandfather: Hezekiah Herbert, Brother: Jerome Herbert and brother-in-law: Shawn Smith.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her common law husband Daniel Tucker, Daughters: Kaylee Kira Tucker and Khaly Rocke. Her Dad: Mr. Ezekiel Herbert, Sister: Alda Smith, Brother: Ezekiel Herbert Jr. Nieces: Aaliyah and Aisha Herbert, Maliyah Tucker and Madison Thurton.
Nephews: Kenrick and Dwayne Cocom, Jerome Herbert Jr, Jaylen and Jayden Smith, Ezekiel Herbert 3rd, Melville Tucker Jr and Daniel Tucker Palacio.
Mother-in-law: Mrs. Eurite Gibson, Father-in-law: Mr. Lennox Gibson
Sisters-in law: Melissa Tucker, Floretta Tucker Thurton, Carolyn Tucker Codd, Ayesha Furqan.
Brother’s-in-law: Melville Tucker and Gregory Thurton
Best Friend: Fanny Chell. A host of aunts, uncles, many cousins, many good friends and her godson's.
