Catherine W. Curtis

Catherine Webber Curtis “Cass”, age 71, died peacefully on March 14, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI and later attended the University of Michigan. After college she moved to the Philadelphia area where she stayed for the rest of her life. It was here where she married and eventually had two sons. Cass spent the majority of her working life in the office of Dr. Jon Yardney MD, where she rose to the position of medical office manager. She particularly enjoyed working with patients and closely with her long time work family. She is preceded in death by her parents Jerome and Eleanor Webber and her sister Christine Webber. Cass was survived by her oldest sister Lee Webber Porter, and her sons Jonathan and David, his wife Amy and her granddaughter. Her energy and sense of humor will be remembered fondly by her friends and loved ones, many from childhood and college that she kept all her life. She taught us about courage and grace throughout her battle with cancer, never letting her illness or treatments dampen her amazing spirit or concern for those she cared about. Her lifelong love of the American Southwest will be carried on in every memory and picture from her numerous trips to the area, and her avid love of reading will be remembered whenever a good book is enjoyed.
