

Mr. Guernsey was born July 22, 1926 in Herkimer NY to Ezra and Antoinette Guernsey. He graduated from Lakemont Academy in 1944 and Colgate University in 1948. He served in the U S Navy during World War II. During his long professional career he worked for the Boroughs Corp., Dun & Bradstreet, Commerce Clearing House, New Castle County DE, and was Township Manager for Radnor for several years. After he retired from Radnor, he founded Keystone Tax Bureau which he sold in 2010. He was active in BOCA International and ICMA.
Chuck was always involved in community service and in fact served as Mayor of Waldwick NJ and President of the Bergan County Mayors Association. He loved golf and telling stories, mostly about golf. He was a member of Edgmont Country Club for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia. He is also survived by his daughter Sandra Sebastian (Stan) of Denville NJ and step sons Richard Rosato and Matthew Rosato (Julie) of Framingham MA. He was preceded in death by his sons James Guernsey and Robert Guernsey (Cheryl).
Chuck is also survived by grandchildren, Katie Danbury (Rob), Jamie Christie (Jay), Jim Guernsey, Garrett Guernsey, and Charlie Guernsey. He is also survived by step grandchildren, Lori Sebastian, Amy Rosato, Christopher Rosato, Nina Rosato and Evan Rosato. At the time of his death he had 4 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Alleva Funeral Home in Paoli on Saturday, June 18 from 9 am to 10:30 am followed by a memorial service and interment at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken.
