Craig H. Richter

Craig H. Richter, 71 of Audubon, PA, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2019. Born in Kingston, NY, he was the son of Harry Richter and Catherine Robinson. Craig is survived by his wife, Virginia (nee Barajas) as well as his 2 daughters, Christina (Tom) Gattone, and Ashley (Nick) Harrison. He also leaves behind his beautiful grandson, Nicholas. Craig is predeceased by his is sister “Tinka” Sweeney. Craig is also survived by his brothers Scott (Kathy) Richter, Neil (Cheryl) Richter, Erich (Terry) Richter, Harry “Moose” (Joan) Richter, many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Craig graduated from Norristown High School, class of 1965. After graduating high school, Craig enlisted in the Army for four years as a Morse code translator. In the 80’s, Craig was a competitive power lifter and was very proud of his accomplishments and trophies and enjoyed sharing lifting stories. He worked very hard for 34 years at Verizon, formerly Bell Telephone where he retired in 2008. Craig enjoyed being a loving dad and husband and truly adored his family. He would often brag about his wife and children to everyone he knew and met, even strangers. Craig treasured time spent with his family, including day trips and vacations. He really enjoyed music and would dance any chance he could. What he enjoyed most was relaxing in his recliner and watching his Eagles. Win or lose, he was a devoted fan and was so proud to finally witness a Super Bowl victory. Craig loved getting together with his brothers to laugh and reminisce. He was very handy and enjoyed fixing things and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Craig will certainly be missed by many. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Friday, March 1, 2019 from 6-8pm and Saturday, March 2, from 10-11am, service immediately following at Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. 1724 East Lancaster Ave, Paoli PA, 19301.
