

Harry F. Martin, born on January 24, 1937 passed away on June 15, 2024. Harry was born to Emily and Harry E. Martin and was raised in Philadelphia, PA. He spent his early years in Fishtown/Kensington before settling in Wissinoming where he and his wife, Eileen, raised their family.
He began his education in architecture but ultimately chose to follow in his father's footstep, attending The Philadelphia Firefighters Academy. He served with the Department for 29 years before retiring. One of Harry’s proudest achievements was his 17 year run as Santa Clause in the Gimbels Thanksgiving Day Parade. His passion for architecture remained strong throughout his life. Harry’s craftsmanship and design skills led him to start his own company, where he delighted in creating custom designs for his clients.
In 1996, Harry and Eileen moved to The Villages in Lady Lake, FL where they lived for 28 years. Even in retirement, Harry remained active, contributing to his community as The Villages Computer Club Refurbishment Coordinator.
Harry’s health brought him back to PA, where he was surrounded by his greatest joy, his family. He spent 66 years married his beloved wife, Eileen, with whom he built a loving family.
He is predeceased by his parents and granddaughter, Stephanie D’Amico.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen (Miller), four children, Harry W. (Diane), Michael, Debbie Newton and Kim (Joe) Marino, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grands.
