Jeremy Blackburn

Hon. (Ret) Jeremy M. Blackburn, on December 22, 2012 age 64. Beloved wife of Mary Anne and father to Jacqueline and Christina. Judge Blackburn served as District Judge for 18 years in Chester County. During these years he was active in both the State and District Levels of Special Court Judges Association with the Vehicle Code Committee for the Department of Transportation and the Retirements and Benefits Committee for the State Association. He also performed the duties of Treasurer for District 11 of Special Judges Association. The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County recognized Judge Blackburn for partnering to end domestic violence. The March of Dimes of Southeast, PA recognized him for his volunteerism and participation in their annual community walks. Judge Blackburn was active at St. Isaac Jogues Church as an Extraordinary Minister, Lector, Greeter, and was elected twice to the Parish Pastoral Council. He also was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Team for the State of Pennsylvania. Previous to being elected, Judge Blackburn was employed by the Bell Atlantic Corporation for 24 years and received multiple outstanding achievement awards for working with their Pioneers Organization helping with community projects. More than anything he loved spending time with his family. He was also committed to helping people in the community.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Nass on Friday, December 28th at 10:00 am from St. Isaac Jogues Church, Walker Rd. In Wayne. Visitation Friday morning 9-10 in the Church.
