

Kathryn Helen (nee Limpert) Brewington, 82, of Devon, PA passed away quietly Sunday May 15, 2016 after a long illness. She was the loving wife of the late Paul V. Brewington. Kathryn was born in Baltimore, MD in 1933, the third daughter of the late Marie (nee Sutter) and John Limpert. When the family settled in New Jersey years later, she attended public school in Maplewood, NJ. After high school Kathryn attended and graduated from Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. After a brief employment in that facility, she went on to earn her master’s degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Returning to New Jersey she taught at Bergen Community College and, with a colleague, co-authored a textbook on Medical-Surgical Nursing Procedures. She later held a management position at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Newark, NJ. In 1961 Kathryn and Paul were married. They settled in Harrington Park, NJ where their two sons were born. After a later move to Gulph Mills, PA, Paul passed away in 1987. She is predeceased by 3 siblings: Stephen Limpert, Joan Smith and Mary Kirby. Surviving are 2 sons: are Paul, Jr. (Linda) and David Vance (Marion); 5 grandchildren and 2 siblings: Carole Bogner & John Limpert. Relatives and friends may call on Sun May 22, 2016 from 2-230PM at Wayne Presbyterian Church: 125 Lancaster Ave. Wayne PA. A Memorial Service will begin at 230PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathryn’s honor to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are with Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. Paoli, PA.
