Mary Ann Burns, age 91, of West Chester, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Beloved wife, mother, sister, Aunt and friend. Passed away peacefully at home after after suffering a stroke.
Mary Ann was born in Erie, PA. on Dec. 30, 1931 to Michael John Palmisano & Celia Marnella.
She graduated from Mercyhurst Seminary in 1949 and Seton Hill College in Greensburg, PA. in 1953.
She taught in the Erie school district for ten years and the West Chester Area School District for 30 years,
retiring in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John (Jack) Palmisano. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Foster Burns, her daughters Anne Foster Burns and Amy Burns Murray (Alan), her brother Michael (Roberta) Palmisano, her sister Susan Palmisano Forquer (Russell) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at SS Philip & James Church, 107 N Ship Rd, Exton, Pennsylvania 19341, followed by a funeral mass @ SS. Philip & James church from 11:00 AM to 11:55 AM. Int Private
