I was so very sad to learn Phyllis passed away 9 years ago. She was one of the nicest persons I have ever known. We met when our daughters Jan and Cindy were three and in nursery school at Tarleton.  I have been sending Phyllis a birthday card and Christmas cards for the last nine years not knowing she had passed away. Ironically, she died the day before my husband Brian March (May 22, 2013).  My condolences to Ed and Jan and all the family. I know how much you must miss dear Phyllis!  God bless you all.

Sorry we could not be with you at this time, but our thoughts and prayers are.  We have great memories of Phyllis.  Linda, Phyllis and I worked for dentists and we ha a great time.  She made us go to exercise classes and eat the right food, etc. and kept us healthy.  I am glad I saw her last summer. and when she came to Bonita Springs she always kept a day for me so we could go shopping and lunch.  We loved her and she will be missed.

I was blessed to work with Phyllis as an intern for two months. She was a dedicated and caring teacher, mentor, and friend. I am truly lucky to have been taught by such a passionate dietitian. Dear Ed and Jan and family, I can not express how saddened I was to hear of Phyllis' passing away so suddenly. I met her through Linda Gular and the three of us had so much fun with our dinner and a movie get togethers. She was a very special lady who was always so interested in what we were doing and how the kids were and grandkids etc. It was so much fun to see her dancing and enjoying Linda's daughter Liz' wedding last October. I am grateful and blessed to have had Phyliss as a friend. I give her the credit for having kept us connected over the many years since we first worked together. She was great fun to be with and a loving inspiration always. I will miss her greatly. May God bless her beautiful family and keep them close in His care.

Words can not express how saddened I am for Phyllis and her family.  I met her at Immaculata College and she was such a pleasure to have as a classmate and friend.  I worked with her just recently again and it was so wonderful to see her smiling face and share our passion in nutrition. I will miss her and will always remember her kindheartedness. I worked with Phylllis and Polly for many years at their gallery plus being across the  tennis court.  Phyllis was the most up person I had ever met and never said anything negative about anyone.  She always wanted to help and would look for solutions to anyone's problems.  Even though it has been years since I have seen Phyllis, I will always remember that incredible smile.  Too young, too soon.

My buddy....you will live in me everyday of my life....you are a shining gem!

Phyllis was the only authentic listener I have known. She didn't just hear & respond for the sake of a response.  Her insight was rare and I loved sharing our news every couple of months and meeting you both for dinner, they were special times.  

Her interest in dyslexia was genuine; her questions and insights were so rare for someone outside the world of the dyslexic lens. Articles would pop up in the mailbox, simply signed, Phyllis, at the bottom. A text, "Susan, I was talking to a woman today with a nephew who ......" and because Phyllis had connected the dyslexic dots, she shared not general information, but specifics which led the parents to dig deeper. Phyllis changed the life of a young boy who she had never met because she cared deeply to spend time sharing what she knew.   

Not sharing our news, books, laughter and reflections will be a deep void in my life which I will truly miss. Memories have a way of hugging and comforting and I am just one of many fortunate enough to have such memories to hug.

I was blessed to have known Phyllis for the past 12 years... I can't even begin to express the things I have learned from the most caring, loving, and genuine friend. There was nothing she wouldn't help anyone she ever met with.... Her love of so many things from our work in dietetics to just about any topic you could think of.... What I learned from my dear friend and buddy could not be adequately expressed..I will carry her with me everyday in my heart. I picture her infectious laugh and oh,  the laughs we would have!!  She truly cared about everyone she came in contact with and the way she lived and loved ....I hope I could only aspire to come close. To Ed, and Jan and family....I am so sorry .... I pray for strength and comfort for you....I so loved my most cherished friend and buddy!

Ed- It is hard to imagine the world without Phyllis in it. She had such a happy and generous nature. Phyllis was quick to laugh and slow to give up or lose heart. She had a buoyant spirit and was always looking forward to the next chapter in life. I have learned so much from knowing her.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and Jan and all your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I enjoyed working with Phyllis on various committees for the PA Dietetic Association.  She was always made the work fun while providing results beyond anyone's expectations.  I will miss my friend, but pass on the lessons she taught me.

Phyllis was an amazing woman...I knew her from our Book Club and she was without fail positive, smart, articulate, caring and classy.  Her love for her family always shined through!  I will cherish my last conversation with her at our Book Discussion meeting....she was encouraging me and always had such beautiful and kind things to say. I will miss her immensely.

Dear Ed and Jan and families:  I was devastated to learn of Phyllis's death.  I look forward to celebrating her life with you on Saturday, but know that we will all grieve her loss for a long time.  She was a real light in our lives, with a constant smile in spite of recent challenges, an upbeat attitude, an enjoyment of learning and serving others, and a great love for her grandchildren.  She was a wonderful friend and we are thankful for her.
