

passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He will be fondly remembered for his beautiful smile, witty sense of humor, and infectious laugh.
Butch was born on November 30, 1945, in Frederick, Maryland to Howard “Buck” Williams and Margurite “Babe” Dorsey. Educated at Lincoln High School in Frederick Maryland, Butch was an excellent athlete who excelled at many sports. After graduation, Butch served several years in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War.
Butch was employed as a manufacturing foreman and spent over 30 years at Pyramid Products in Philadelphia, PA, Maslow Inc. in Malvern, PA, and GES Box Company in Conshohocken. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. Butch was especially fond of his dogs and loved to give them “nose.” In his later years, he enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family and socializing with his special group of friends particularly his brothers in Full Clip. He loved meeting with Full Clip and most recently organized cornhole games during some of their meetings. Butch will always be remembered as a fantastic dancer who especially loved to do the bop.
Butch was predeceased in death by his wife Jerlma Crampton and a son Leroy Wimberly. Butch is survived by two sons Robert Wimberly and Mahlon Crampton (Jaqueline); a daughter Danielle Crampton (Chamise); siblings Bruce Upshaw (Marnechia), Philadelphia, PA; Danny Marsh (Brandi), New Jersey, Darien Hawkins, Virginia, Jeanette Warfield, Baltimore, Md, Leon Dorsey, Eugene Dorsey, Linda Ferguson, Eric Dorsey, Jonas Dorsey, Janice Worrell, Kenneth Dorsey, Mary Lumpkin, Rodney Dorsey, all of Frederick, Md., Darlene Snowden, Montgomery County, MD, and Doris Stover (Paul), Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren Azim Williams, Ayden Crampton, and Ava Crampton; uncle Earl “Bunky” Crampton, Baltimore, Md., aunt Betty Crampton, Frederick, Md., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, January 7 at Alleva Funeral Home, 1724 East Lancaster Avenue, Paoli, PA 19301. A viewing will be held from 9 am-11 am followed by the service at 11 am.
