Alfred “Fred” William Eisner was born July 5, 1952 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Alfred W. and Margaret A. (Holweger) Eisner. Fred attended schools in the Grand Forks area, graduating from Central High School in 1971. He continued his education at North Dakota State College of Science, in Wahpeton, ND.
He was united in marriage to Leola K. Johnson of Breckenridge, MN September 7, 1974 in Breckenridge, MN. The couple resided in Breckenridge, MN, where Fred worked for Cass-Clay Creamery; in Moorhead, MN where he was employed by Purolator Courier Service. Until his recent illness he worked for MedAssets of Omaha, NE.
Fred and Leola were blessed with Elizabeth Lynn, October 14, 1983 and Matthew Benjamin, December 31, 1984.
Fred enjoyed his family, traveling, cooking, helping others, playing cards, fresh flowers, serving in various capacities at the churches he attended, oldies music, and having the best four hours of the year in December as Santa at Creighton University Medical Center.
Fred’s occupation allowed him to touch many lives from all walks of life. He was a “can do” person, who did not easily say no. He took pride in pleasing others and led by example. He fought a gallant fight against Esophageal Cancer as long as he could.
He was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Papillion, NE.
He is survived by his wife, Leola and son Matthew, both of Papillion, NE. Sisters, Lorraine Koth, Broomfield CO, Sandy (Rick) Wold, Wiley, TX, Charlene (Dale) Bergman, Grand Forks, ND. Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family and a host of Friends.
