Dear Paula and the Sowl family...my name is Kim Griffin and I have worked with David for four years now at HDR.  I always introduced him as "the most interesting and funny safety guy you'll ever meet!".  He was a beloved colleague and will be missed VERY much.  My thoughts are with you during this difficult time

Dear Paula, 
I am a friend of David's from KHS.  I reconnected with him on FB and caught up on all the missing years.  Thankfully we did.  I just learned today of Daveid's death and I am truly sorry for you and your family's loss.  May God strengthen you in the days ahead.

I will miss you Dave. Wish we could have gotten together a couple of weeks ago before you left on your trip.

Paula and Kids. Our heart goes out to you. We've been praying for you. I have been remembering all the good times we all had together in our youth. Dave, Jerry and I had a band back in the 70's those were special times.  We love you!!!

David was my hero.  He always loved helping others and looked for ways to keep everyone safe and healthy. He loved his family, his work and mankind as a whole.  I lost a best friend, a confidante and an inspiration when David had to leave us. I loved him and I love his family.  We have lost a great man, but now David will have time to take care of himself and rest.  I will look forward to when we meet again. God be with him and his family.

Paula & Kids---I am so sorry about David & wish I could be there. Words never seem adequate enough to express sympathy & sadness.  Please know we are praying for your family and thinking of you.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Uncle David I am sad to see you leave so soon.  You are an inspiration to all who met you. I am certainly a better man because of you and your influence.  I can not tell you how much I loved you and admired you.

It was my pleaseure to know David for many years. He was a decidated safety professioanl who touched many lives and helped so many. Our safety community has lost a vauluable member and we will pause to honor him. On behalf of the Nebraska Construction Safety Professioanls and the safety community, rest in peace my friend. 
We will miss you.
