Dorothy Gwynne Snodgrass

She was born in Bootle England and raised in Liverpool England. She always talked adoringly of her parents, loved her sister Norma, and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. She married Gordon Reese in 1956 who was in the United States Air Force and moved to America in 1958. There, began many years of travel as a Military Wife and she always made it seem flawless to get up and move every three years. Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, Hawaii, Back to Colorado, Japan, Missouri, and then her family settled in Nebraska. In between all those moves, our dad was stationed remote to Alaska for a year, and she cared for her three daughters. After Gordon passed away in 2004, she married Buzz Snodgrass in 2006 and they both traveled to all parts of the world, but homebase was always Nebraska. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many. Our family will miss her tremendously, but our many happy memories will be close to our hearts forever. Our mom loved her family, and her friends. She loved her birth country of England, which forever she missed. A “pot of tea” was always a welcoming sight at her house. She had a wonderful life . . .

Dorothy is preceded in death by her Husbands, Gordon Reese and Buzz Snodgrass; Daughter, Sandra Volquartsen.

She is survived by her Daughters, Carol (Jim) Withrow; Wendy Richey (Don L.); Son-in-Law, Henry Volquartsen; 5 Grandchildren, David Withrow (Jamie D.); Katie (John) Helwig; Tim Volquartsen; Ben (Bailey) Fleming; Brooke Fleming; 2 Great Grandchildren, Jaks Visty and Trey Withrow; Sister, Norma Parks; Sisters-in-Law, Lyla Baty; Melinda (Woodrow) Wilson.

She had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

VISITATION Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Mortuary. FUNERAL SERVICE Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10:30 am at Reality Church, 10695 Portal Rd, La Vista, NE 68128. BURIAL at Cedar Dale Cemetery, Papillion.
