Ron Roberts passed away peacefully in his sleep September 9th and was taken into the loving arms of Christ where he will be able to watch over all of us and always remain in our loving memories and hearts. Ron will now join his oldest daughter, Shelly, in heaven.
Ron was born and raised in Storm Lake, IA, surrounded by his loving family and friends. During life’s highs and lows, hurts and happiness, his sisters, Betty and Bonnie have always been there to give their love and support. Ron attended St. Mary’s Catholic High School and graduated in 1953. After graduation, Ron joined the Corps of Engineers as a Surveyor at which time he met the love of his life, Joan Schoenherr. They were married on September 23rd , 1961. Ron and Joan moved to Plattsmouth, NE where they had three daughters, (Shelly, Renee and Juli). Ultimately, Ron and the family moved to the Omaha Metro area in 1979 and changed his career to owning/working in the Residential and Commercial painting industry. Ron was an avid fisherman and hunter. He raised Labrador Retrievers and always held a special place in his heart for dogs. Ron was so proud of his 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, when he spoke about them to anyone, he couldn’t help himself from crying with tears of love and joy. A husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa, this is a legacy we have from you.
